Lavish Grace

Devotional

The word ‘prodigal’ doesn’t actually mean wayward or lost – it means lavish or extravagant. While the son was wastefully lavish with his inheritance, the father was graciously lavish with his forgiveness. No conditions, no probation period, no earning back trust – just pure, extravagant welcome. This is how God receives us: with overwhelming, abundant grace that we could never deserve or earn.

Bible Verse

‘For this my son was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found.’ – Luke 15:24

Reflection Question

How does understanding God’s lavish grace change the way you approach Him after failure?

Quote

Prodigal doesn’t mean lost. Prodigal means lavish. Prodigal means overabundance. Prodigal means living life to its fullest.

Prayer

Gracious God, thank You for Your extravagant love and grace. Help me to fully receive Your unconditional acceptance and to extend that same lavish grace to others. Amen.
