Devotional
The same crowds that shouted ‘Hosanna!’ would soon cry ‘Crucify Him!’ This dramatic shift reveals how quickly human devotion can change when our expectations aren’t met. When Jesus didn’t fulfill their hopes for immediate political and material salvation, their praise turned to rejection. This serves as a powerful reminder about the nature of true faith. Genuine faith persists even when God’s plans don’t align with our desires. It trusts in God’s greater purpose even when we don’t understand His methods. The question isn’t whether God will meet our expectations, but whether we’ll trust Him even when He doesn’t.
Bible Verse
“Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant.” – Philippians 2:5-7
Reflection Question
When has your faith been tested because God’s plans didn’t match your expectations? How did you respond?

“For this is the same crowd that will very soon, in a couple of days, be shouting, crucify him. Crucify him.”
Prayer
Lord, strengthen my faith to trust You even when I don’t understand Your ways. Help me to remain faithful when things don’t go as I expect. Amen.
