Victory Through Christ

Devotional
As we face our daily battles with temptation, we can take comfort in knowing that Jesus not only understands our struggles but has already won the victory. He didn’t just show us how to overcome temptation; He conquered it perfectly on our behalf. This means we don’t face our challenges alone or in our own strength. We can lean into His victory, draw from His strength, and trust in His perfect record. When temptation comes, we don’t need to rely on our own willpower but can instead rest in Christ’s completed work.

Bible Verse
“You shall take some of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which you harvest from your land that the Lord your God is giving you, and you shall put it in a basket, and you shall go to the place that the Lord your God will choose, to make his name to dwell there.” – Deuteronomy 26:2

Reflection Question
How does knowing that Christ has already won the victory over temptation change how you face your daily struggles?

Quote
He doesn’t grasp them just for himself, but rather goes through those temptations to show that we can survive those as well.

Prayer
Jesus, thank you for your perfect victory over temptation. Help us to rely on your strength rather than our own when facing challenges. Thank you for making your victory our victory. Amen.
