Devotional
Life often presents us with situations that test our faith. We might wonder if God really cares, if He’s really there, or if His promises are true. The temptation to test God can be subtle – demanding signs, making deals, or setting conditions for our faith. Jesus faced this same temptation but showed us that authentic faith doesn’t demand proof. Instead, it trusts in God’s character and promises, even when circumstances are challenging. Standing firm in faith means choosing to trust God’s timing and methods, even when we don’t understand them.
Bible Verse
“For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them.” – Romans 10:5
Reflection Question
When have you been tempted to test God rather than trust Him, and what helped you maintain your faith?
Quote
The hands of God that endured the temptations did so perfectly, hands over to us that perfection so that we can live in him and go through our own struggles knowing that we’ll make it each and every day.
Prayer
Dear God, strengthen our faith when doubts arise. Help us trust Your character and promises even when we can’t see the way forward. Thank you for being trustworthy in all circumstances. Amen.
